Sugar Bowl 2024 – University of Washington

Did anyone else catch the crazy 2024 Sugar Bowl game University of Washington vs University of Austin? UW is my alma mater so I was so pumped to see them make it this far. The game was insanely close and the last minute was a huge nail biter! I think my heart stopped like five times lol. But we came through and got the W!!! What a way to start off the New Year!

The morning before the game started, Jeff and I were saying this is such a huge game that we didn’t want to watch it by ourselves. We last minute decided to invite some friends over that evening. Most of my friends went to University of Washington. GO DAWGS!

DIY Snack Stadium

What you need:

Steps:

  1. Gather the necessary materials: aluminum pans (I got mine from the dollar store), beer or soda cans, your favorite game day snacks, and some dipping bowls for condiments and dips.
  2. Place the large aluminum pan in the middle as the main playing field. Next, place smaller aluminum pans around the large pan as the sidelines and to create different sections for snacks.
  3. Place four dipping bowls at the four corners to round out the stadium.
  4. Place beer or soda cans around the aluminum pans and bowls.
  5. Fill the aluminum pans with classic game day snacks and foods like chips, popcorn, pretzels, chicken wings, mozzarella sticks, and sliders. Don’t forget to fill the dipping bowls with a variety of dips and sauces for dipping and drizzling!
  6. Decorate and customize your snack stadium!

I didn’t have time for the last step, but you can definitely customize your snack stadium to fit your team’s colors or theme or add some fun football details. Make field end goals with pepperoni sticks, banners with paper and toothpicks, and team signs.
